Oasis

The theme for this one-week project was an Ancient Egyptian Tomb with a linear path and an important point of interest at the end. My goal was to create a structure that looked unassuming from outside the entrance but hid progressively larger and more interesting rooms inside.

In order to break up the linear path, I included a simple platforming section that combined organic colors/shapes inside the man-made temple. There are also several treasure chests hidden throughout the ruins to reward the player for exploring.


For the point of interest at the end, I wanted to have a small oasis to provide a vibrant contrast to the rest of the level.
